The Colonial Beach Artists’ Guild (CBAG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to bring varied visual art experiences and educational opportunities to the greater Colonial Beach and Westmoreland County community.   Founded in 2002, the art guild began with just a few artists getting together to share experiences.   By 2011, we had grown to more than 100 members.  While most members are artists, the guild also includes members who have joined to support the visual arts.

At the current time, the artists’ guild meets once per month at a local church.  All members and prospective members are invited to the meetings.  The CBAG provides venues for artists to exhibit work at Second Friday Art Walks, the Annual Potomac River Festival in Colonial Beach, and the local Boardwalk Art Show.  CBAG produces the annual Potomac River Regional Art Show every July/August which is co-sponsored by the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce.  We support visual art education in our public schools and our community including providing monetary donations.  CBAG presents a scholarship award to a local high school senior each year.  The Colonial Beach Artists’ Guild was honored to be named “Business of the Year” in 2009 by the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce.
